About Us

MacManus Therapy, OT, P.C. was created by two dedicated Occupational Therapists seeking to provide hands on, patient centered care for individuals with Neurological conditions, Orthopedic injuries and Developmental Delays. Our outpatient clinic offers our patients the use of all the necessary equipment and tools to obtain functional growth. We collaborate with our patients and their physicians to develop personalized, meaningful goals, and empower them to work to their maximum potential. We recognize that the rehabilitation process can be challenging for individuals and their families, and we are committed to providing the skilled treatment and support necessary to promote positive change in their lives.

 

Ian MacManus, OTR/L graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a BS in Biology in 1998.  Graduated from  SUNY Stony Brook Occupational Therapy Program in 2002 with a BS in Occupational Therapy.  My work experience includes working as an Occupational Therapist for St. Charles Outpatient Rehabilitation, Director of Rehabilitation at St. Mary's Hospital for Children, Occupational therapist for Preferred Therapy Solutions and Visiting Nurse Services & Hospice of Suffolk, Inc., Senior OT for Power Mobility Clinic at United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau. I have years of experience providing Occupational Therapy Services for adults and children with neurological and orthopedic conditions in all settings of care.

Renee Lockhart MacManus, MS,OTR/L graduated from Boston College in 2001 with a BA in Psychology and from Boston University in 2003 with a Masters Degree in Occupational therapy. My work experiences include working as an Occupational Therapist at Transitions of Long Island of the Northwell Health System, St. Charles Outpatient Rehabilitation, Catholic Home Care and Preferred Therapy Solutions. I have expert knowledge of working with adults with neurological and orthopedic conditions in sub-acute, homecare and outpatient settings.
